This 1960 Thunderbird is one I spent some time with upon seeing her. Of course, one of the downsides of shooting at car shows is the…well, background. This often requires creative framing, because Photoshop can’t fix everything—in this case, a garish food vendor behind the ‘bird and quite a few ugly modern cars surrounding her, ultimately preventing me from getting an acceptable (to me) shot of the entire car (alas!).

The background distractions couldn’t be entirely gotten rid of, and heavily blurring distractions is just not my style, but I did what I could, including crouching down into the grass, thus hiding that hot dog stand and a contemporary F250 behind the T-bird. Full petticoats are not just for style, but modesty, ladies—trust a woman who spends a lot of time sitting on the ground in a skirt photographing low-slung cars.*

Drive that beauty already!

Different car, different show, but…it is funny. And correct.

Considering the T-bird photo garnered over 13,000 views and over 200 favourites in just a couple of days, your eyes were on the right thing—the grinning grille of a beautiful classic Ford Thunderbird!

Have a great Monday!

* I always wear a skirt or a dress, never pants. It’s just my style. Older gentlemen really like it, though, and if you can’t make a war veteran grin and share memories of his youth because you remind him of his sweetheart, where’s the fun in life?
