It is unseasonably cold, but here comes the food! Today I’ll be putting up salsa, candied jalapenos, Szechuan beans and some other goodies lest all this bounty to go waste (and I hate to see food wasted). Wish me energy, and do pardon the hurried, excited

I must confess to nibbling here and there…
I am in awe. I have never put up vegetables, though I do remember my mother putting up sweet corn every summer and my grandmother putting up LOTS of food.
Would you ever put up, do you think? For me it must be genetic (even my grandfather canned!), plus my homemaker bug…And the lure of summer tastes in the dead of winter.
