Monday Escape

A very stylish Stude Golden Hawk.

Did you stay up to watch Nosferatu on TCM last night? It had been far too long since my last viewing, so I enjoyed it very much…and had no trouble sleeping. What did you think? What a marvellously done film—the shadows, the handling of Orlok’s feeding—we never see anything, really, just light and shadow revealing just enough, which makes it all the more horrible, doesn’t it? Today’s filmmakers could learn much from a nearly 100 year-old horror film. I do hope those able to tune in enjoyed it.

There’s a scheduling note after the jump!

Just so you know, I may not be here for the remainder of the week—there are some health things (nothing serious, fret not!) to take care of, and as yesterday was the final day for our local farmer’s market, I wiped them out of as much as I could and have a little canning to do as a result. I’m sure I’ll find a few things to share, but my usual posting schedule may be abandoned. It depends upon how cooperative these tomatoes want to be.

Have a beautiful day!

  1. Oh no, I hadn’t caught wind of the fact that it was being shown and completely missed out! Rats! (Or would that be “bats”!) I tend to watch so little TV in the moment (aka, we’ll watch shows in marathon spurts), but TCM’s offerings are one definite exception there. I really need to get better of staying abreast of their programming schedule.

Sending tons of healing, feel better wishes your way,
    ♥ Jessica

    • Oh no! (And ‘rats’ is perfectly apropos, actually.) I do a TCM look-ahead post just about every Wednesday (not always, with holidays and health and such, but just about!), and it usually goes live in the late afternoon. We may even have similar taste in film! 😉

I am just fine, really, but thank you for your well-wishes!
