Did you know that today in 1940, a truly fantastic song topped the US Billboard Pop Singles Chart? (It happens to be one of my all-time favourites, too.)
It’s impossible to be unhappy when “In The Mood” is playing, if you ask me. While photographing Route 66 last spring, I had a grand time dancing to this Glenn Miller classic at the Oklahoma Route 66 Museum…over and over. (Perhaps I have a slightly addictive personality?) No pictures of that, sorry. However, several other visitors seemed to get a kick out of this, and I believe at least one of them DOES have a photo. Alas. (They were a very nice German couple travelling 66 West to East.)
Enjoy the song, and have a wonderful weekend!
Thanks for the tip, RealTimeWWII!
